national geographic reports that what scientists have discovered might actually be a new planet in our solar system. ah ah, this doesn't sound good. now don't start thinking that we might be raided by some aliens pretty soon and "Independence Day" might become a reality. no guys, bush is actually planning to have a stop over on this new planet en route to mars :) and don't fantasize about availability of water et. al in this new one. not that far either.
but what we can think is the immediate impact on our horoscopes :) and I wouldn't be surprised if all the astrologers gang up and call for a world-wide discussion on this. can they waive it? or can they add a clause and say that it only augurs well for our mankind? could that be a 'guest house' for our existing planets from where they can have a better look at us (as they say "moonavadhu veetlerndhu neara guru paarkkaraan") ?wow, this looks exciting :)

1)indian astro union (iau) decided to hold meeting
2)they dont have president, only acting, so they call for elections
3)elections is riddled wit factinalism, so no elections, acting president is still in power,
4)acting pres decides they need to meet, and calls for a meeting onver new planet discovery,
5)now again factionalism where one group wants a resolution and another says acting pres cant pass resolutions
6)so in the end no resolution and things remain unchanged.
these guys met to discuss the new planets discovery but discussed the powers of the acting pres

Jadagam has always been based not on all 9 planets, but only on Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Sun and Moon, and 27 other stars. So Indian astrology remains the same irrespective of whatever planets get added to the solar system.
But yes, the news did sound like April Fools' stuff. When they go about discovering stars and planetary systems millions light years away, why would they take this long to discover a planet within our system??

I think our life is in our hands and astrology should not be the main course of food but can be a pickle to the "main course" of life. You can look at your horos predictions but not try to map your ports (enna embedded sys??) (ports == life) according to the predictions...
