Master of all trades

I always used to wonder if becoming a master of all trades is ever possible. sometimes it does wear us down when we start thinking of all the stuff we have to do. a run down to the grocery store for a gallon of milk might seem a herculean task. and these are the very moments that discourage us from pursuing some new things. I always wanted to learn the guitar, but successfully managed to excuse under the pretext of lack of time. now I'm thinking of picking up keyboard, atleast I can try out the carnatic swaras that I learnt long back, this should take little time as compared to learning guitar.
why I'm writing all this??? I happened to listen to some melodious songs from dhool.com. Nope, the composer wasn't Ilayaraja, it was T.Rajendher. as most of you know, he is the producer, scriptwriter, director, music composer, lyricist, dialogue writer, art director ... and many more for his movies. ofcourse he also plays the lead role, thankfully he doesn't sing :). and amazingly he has excelled in all the above areas. those songs are on par with ilayaraja's 80's meoldies. the song, "ithu Kuzhanthai paadum thaalattu" from 'oru thalai raagam' is a class apart, the lyrics are wonderful.
T.Rajendher is indeed a master of all trades. I can only wish to be as versatile as him, in life.

- Well.. theres one area where he tried his hand and failed miserably still refusing to learn - Politics.

But for that, as you say, he is one character worth following. Many of his lyrics of even lesser known songs are fab. btw, gud luck with your keyboard lessons.

- Chakra.

Thats right Chakra, he never learnt from his mistakes on the political front. He has even floated a new party.
