desire to hate ...

violence and killings occupy a major chunk on all the news sites and news papers. and it is not a new trend, been the same way for a long time now. a lot of us have immense interest in reading such stuff. its definitely not the fault of the publishers, for they just cater our needs.

we live in a much civilized world now, as a result we are definitely forced to hide some of our natural instincts and desires. thats probably a reason why a kid likes to watch our captain cut someone's throat on screen. some of us don't even realise that we use this medium to vent some deep feelings like hatred, jealously etc.

is this because of the animal instincts that we may still have or just because we are used to reading and watching only such stuff?

When someone picks our pocket or robs us off our valuables, what do we think? Don't we feel like smashing that guy's head? Thats exactly animal instinct. It lies deep with in us for some and not-so-deep for some... thats the difference.

- still there are ppl who don't like to read such stuff.. but they are in the minority, me think.

I think Its a combination of both.!

It sure feeds the imagination/ hatred / fantasy of people.

Side Note: Some of the channels here report that what we are about to see is Graphic and then play the tape. But in the Indian Media, there is absolutely no ratings or no warnings.!

Some of the footage I saw in a recent terror attack...was like watching a war movie.

Any one who watches such scenes will definitely have a big impact.!
