perfectness
so finally became a member of Netflix. I get 3 movies out at a time and I'm really enjoying it.
was watching Good Will Hunting yesterday. what a wonderful movie. I liked the interactions between Robin Williams and Matt Damon. In one scene Robin Williams tells Damon, "Nobody is perfect and can never be. All that matters is if you are perfect to each other (from a relationship standpoint)". that was a good one.
and I have started watching a movie everyday to glory :) a good friend of mine, Manoj, once remarked that he is following the American way, learn anything and everything from movies. Looks like I'm well on track with him :)
p.s: thats why I watch our dear captain movies..... to know how Veerappan was captured, if Osama would be captured, and finally how kargil was won :-)

Ill endorse Manoj on this. You can learn a whole lot of stuff from movies...and before anyone pounces on this statement, all I mean is the good stuff.
I was with Netflix for a long time and am now with Blockbuster. Only reason being that Blockbuster gives me two in-store rentals which I use for Gamecube games which cost 6.99 for a week otherwise. So for the 15 bucks a month I pay, just the two game rentals will do :)..and yes, Shalini and I watch a lot of movies too.
Good Will Hunting is a great movie. Intelligent and very well acted.
I have a Netflix account as well. Man, it is good. Their collection is much better than Blockbuster, I guess with documentaries, Foreign Films etc.
About GWH, it is a class act. You are almost left wondering how Hollywood can make such soul stirring movies...

game 6, 1975 world series and they talk about carlton fisk's homerun that send the series to the 7th game.
wanted to comment on GWH, but chose not to, because it is one movie that you keep it to yourself and rerun again and again in your mind just for yourself.

What an amazing coincidence. When I put in my comment earlier this evening, I wanted to put in a PS mentioning GWH's Boston connection. But I didnt not knowing the number of RedSox folks here.
The movie is rife with BoSox references esp the one about the game and Robin Williams and his girlfriend. And yes it was the Carlton Fisk one :)
And yes Netflix has a better library than BB but hey, I enjoy my two games too.
And guys, its Spring TRaining and the Champs start next week. So here is to a two peat. Go RedSox !!!
GWH is an impressive movie.
Movies are a very powerful medium. Apart from letting u learn a thing or two, they do influence the audience in some way or other.
I have learnt a lot of good things by watching good movies!!
umm...wht have i learnt? rather than listing down wht i ve learnt, i shall write a few of characters that have impressed me the most. revathi in marupadiyum, sangeetha in pitha magan, nadhiya in poovae poochudava, roja in roja, revathi in anjali, uma thurman in kill bill, roberto benigni in life is beautiful...ths is jus a few - the list is endless, i am sure.

I used to have a PsOne or Playstation One, an older device. I then moved on to a Nintendo Gamecube. Pradeep has a Playstation 2. Both are good. IF you want a lot of action games, Ps2 is a good bet.
