lessons from politicians
so gear up for another session of horse trade in Bihar. the election results look promising for all the traders and tradees as well :) this situation could be worse than giving Lalu a majority. but what totally beats me is the way these politicians 'bury' their differences and join hands. I know money is the big, and probably the only, player here :) but how is it possible to completely ignore all the personal attacks and even the lawsuits. maybe we are too human to understand these things I guess, after all they could be highly idealistic(?) and hence forgive each other :)
in the case of tamilnadu, PMK's ramadoss is clearly the front runner in changing alliances. at this stage he may not even remember whom he is with :) any day he can beat a Lalu or Jayalalithaa hands down :) I'm really impressed with his record..........
from being a wood-cutting activist to a politician who runs a green revolution organization,
from being an unknown doctor to the father of the Nation's health minister,
from being a literally non-existent individual to the one who controls the naming of tamil movies
he has indeed travelled a long distance in a very short period of time :)
actually I'm counting on him........if I were to enter politics ever :)
looks like I can also learn from politicians, let alone movies :)

Think local: we have politicians like Ramadoss and Lalu.
Think global: we have politicians like Bushie, Chirac and Schroeder.
Suave sophistication vs. earthy everyday expertise. How really different are these turncoats?
"Wood-Ctting Activist"!!!!!----heights of irony and OxyMORON.....ha...ha..ha...
He has now started a system where he makes his party workers pay Rs. 100 on the spot for calling him Doctor Ayya instead of Maruthuvar Ayya. -- source Jr. Vikatan
Ramadoss takes the cake when it comes to being the poster-boy joker to the rest of the world (read tamilians all over the world) and still manage to reinvent his style and causes to champion (read complain).
I am more puzzled by the fairly huge popularity he enjoys and dread to think if the Leader is thus, how about his followers. I mean do any of the readers here know somebody who knows somebody who is a PMK party person ? If so, let me know and Ill personally like to ask him, "Why George, why ?" (I couldnt skip the Seinfeld reference if you know what I am talking about)
We might have to put that question not just to a PMK worker but to most political party workers in India. We've seen enough coalition crap, with repeated alliances and breakups - BJP with Mayawati-Kanshi Ram, Sharad Pawar with Sonia Gandhi, Congress/BJP with DMK/ADMK, Ramadoss, Subramaniya Swami, Chandrababu Naidu... the list is endless. Most of coalition politics in India is such. Smaller groups like that of "Maram pudingi" Ramadoss vocally make fools of themselves when they butt into petty issues that dont concern them, while larger parties perform the same functions through coalition dramas. Sushma Swaraj (or was it Uma Bharti?) swore to shave her head if Sonia became PM! The whole thing is an amusing charade.
ramesh, for me to ape Bush, my father should have been the ex-president of the US, own some oil companies, use political clout to get into an Ivy League school and much more :) Its tough machi, nammalukku Ramadoss thaan pa correct.
Krish, and Ramadoss is a moron too :)
manoj, yevan da avanukku antha pera suggest pannaan. kekkave kevalama irukku. I'll leave the movie to R.K.Selvamani :)
He's just another reason to prove that anybody can enter into poilitics without any knowledge about politics.
Harish, is that true, unbelievable man. God I'm starting to miss junior vikatan, let me see how long I can avoid it.
Ranga, what do you think, that the PMK member will talk to you. nice try. they attack first, and then talk. expect a thiruppaachi aruvaa on ur neck :)
gandalf, I still think nobody can get as low as thamizhthaangi can :) bu yeah, all of 'em keep defining new lows as well.
sushma didn't stop there, she said she would wear a white saree and live like a widow. It was so disgusting to even read.
Anand, he has all the knowledge about politics, if you knwo what I mean :)
Neenga ellarum thappana vazhi la porenga.
En vazhi: Tamizh - Arasial - Makkal Thondru ($$)
kalluri la tamizh Sanga Palagai illay :( adhu nala dhan tanglis.
This is Harish's comment ---
You missed out n an even better story - the one in Goa. The BJP speaker and his deputy resigned after disqualifying the congress's deputy CM.. now if congress has to spare one of their own for the speakers post makin their number 1 less than that of bjp. Apparently Pramod Mahajan is behind this.
As for Ramadoss.. it is true he has come this far.. but cant get anywhere frm here except demand more seats... (It will be a long time before Amma or Kalignar accepts the concept of coalition in TN)
And I can say with absolute confidence - Jayalalithaa doesnt ever forget or forgive any personal attacks.. She ignores them for a while if it is politically expedient.
Harish, the goa story was impressive too :) these guys are better in math.
but jayalalithaa accpeted ramadoss when he called her 'anbu sagothari' :) she is new to the game, should learn from these guys.
Me, ramadoss may take this post lightly, but he will never forgive ur thamizh :) just kidding :)
Hi Saranyan,
You cannot become a politician, because you are a human and humans cannot be politician.
To be a politician, you should not have nervous system, no memory, skin should be thickest among all living beings, friends and foes have only circumstantial differentiation and nobody is a permanant friend and foe, may be not even relatives.
So Saranyan, leave them alone as they come from a different un-civilization all together.
politics in india is a caste-based math...u know u r winning when u have the right numbers with u...this is the reason y laloo & ramdoss have survived so long...ramdoss is pretty popular from where i come & trust me, its all blindly bcoz of his caste...i am not sure if he has done a single selfless deed all his life...as for the tamizh thondu that he claims to be doing, that is just a reminder to the ppl that he is alive & kicking..no issues available to "arikkai vittufy"...so, he touched the next weapon that will bring popularity - cinema...he is such an idiot...
CM, athu enna jaathi kandraviyo, ippadi jeyikkarane.
Jagan, I wouldn't forgive him for calling our thalaivar "Sethula vizhindhu kedakkara panni" :)

The only thing that beat this document is the reco letter I wrote for myself a few years back and got it signed by my HOD.
The surprising aspect of Dr. is made clear in this line - "This outspoken and fearless leader, inspite of having a good backing does not have eye on wresting power." (from the Intamm article).
Isnt it sad that politicians like him dont consider Chief Minister to be most powerful post. Paswan seems to have followed Ayya's footsteps. It is not abt "kursi" anymore... the one word which was used a lot in the 90s election special programmes on DD.
seriously, this will pass for a SOP or a reco :)
hari, thank you thank you thank you :)
Who knows where to download XRumer 5.0 Palladium?
